I hope - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

"Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" is my favorite childhood movie and I "really" wish Disney will produce Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs movie in today's version. I can imagine the Snow White being the beautiful Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom as the prince and maybe Anjelica Huston as the witch. I can also imagine it filled with special effects. Wouldn't that be wonderful??

The one that started it all, is still the fairest - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Walt Disney's personal best, and a landmark for cinema. One only hopes that todays, animators can stop this Shrek type animation, it's all about the story, and this film has it all.

Snow white and the seven dwarfs - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Hello! Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a great family movie, and children can learn what a great learning it is. I had the video of it and I was surprised how great it was. This is worth your money, but maybe many adults will not like it that much. This is a great family movie!

Eat an apple o plz - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

The reason why i didnt llke this movie that much is that the whole thing is just weird. A mother that wants to be the prettest person on the planet. I mean that mother should have been killed in a better way. There is no way that i would really want to see this movie ever again. If i did i would bring a pillow with me. But let the kids see it and let them make up their mind if they like it or not.

The most influential animated film of all time. - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

This movie set what I would call the 'formula' for animated movies on the US that about 99.5% of Disney movies (and those of other studios) still follow today. If that's not being influential, then I don't know what is. Snow white is a little bit above average by today's standars on the animation department, but I bet it was a wonderful sight to behold when it was released back on 1937. Don't get me wrong, it is a work of art because it required so much effort to be made and it's still pretty to look at; but times change and these days, animation is simply too advanced for this movie to really compete, which then sets it on a class by itself; that of the animation classics (Animated movies ranging from the 40's up to late 70's). By judging this movie that way, I would say it fares pretty well. The story is well adapted, it's mostly happy and bright, but it has a couple of scenes that are still able to scare young kids. The voice acting is very good, although the change to singing is somewhat odd, it gets the job done very well. The songs are good overall, but some are annoying and dull and not for everybody. Young kids watching this movie now, will probably not understand why Snow White is not as strong a female lead as that of more recent Disney films; but you can always tell your kids that back in 1937 when this film was made, Snow White was actually a strong female lead by daring to escape the castle all by herself, and invite them to compare what was expected from women back then and what women can do today. Overall: first animated feature from the Disney studios, a definitive classic worth watching, sure, it's not perfect by today's standards, but it's still a nice movie to watch. Bonus: So, you still want to know what's the formula? Well, it goes more or less like this: Adapt a children story into an animated film of about 85 minutes, add a few songs here and there for good measure, get it on theaters and wait for the cash to flow back at you. Sometimes it hits big, other it doesn't, but most of the time it will work well enough to at least recover the money you put on your film. Weird thoughts of mine: I watched this movie for the first time when I was like 14 and oddly enough, I thought the evil queen-step mother was the major babe of the film and that it was a shame she turned into an ugly hag to do her bad deeds...I mean c'mon! Snow White is a little flat chested hen compared to the evil queen, no?

Wonderful! exciting! - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

GREAT! An experience of a life time and soon to be noticed by great playwrights!! You shall enjoy this video!! Great acting and performances!! Great storyline!! Overall, just beautiful!

Very memorable - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Childhood favorites - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

This is a children's movie about love, and I found it fun to watch when I was a little child and I was in grade school back then. I don't have a favorite part in this movie. My least favorite part of this movie was when Snow White takes a bite of the Poison Apple and then... The movie ends Happily Ever After.

Snow white was a direct impact in animation! - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Snow White is probably one of the most well known Disney movies. I still go back to watching it now and then, and admire the amount of effort that went into the film. It was release in 1937, and set the grounds for future advancements in animation. It also put Disney one a greater scale. Disney showed the world his brilliance with Steamboat Willie, however, marked his name in lights with Snow White. Considering each cel was painted by hand is quite extraordinary. Disney movies now can never be as appreciated, knowing that a click of the mouse can develop the same color as a stroke of a hand. Snow White had warmth. Personally, I don't find Snow White would do well at all, if it were to come out now in theatres. The story for the most part is pretty basic, and Snow White didn't really have the personality that many of the Disney princess's have in other movies. However, concidering the brilliance it brought to the screen, beiing the first full lenth animated film, Snow White deserves the highest respect amongst movie watchers. I highly recommend this movie1

For the time it was nothing less then an a+ - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

I can't or I won't go into depth on this film because it is such a classic. The first animated movie! The work that went into this was remarkable for the time. This is something people forget but won't forget. You should watch this movie with that thought in the back of your mind. You will probly enjoy it more.

Outstanding! - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

great story and an oustandinf film .children throught the years will love it and won't forget for the rest of their lives as it teaches wonderful lessons that u never should forget

Very classic - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Compared to today's standards, it's not gold but pretty much close to it. The whole movie is masterpiece written all over it. Whoever says it isn't must feel one of two things. Immaturity and a missunderstanding of it's meaning. Besides the fact it's one of the first animated films (not the first), its a great story and I really like it. From beginning to end, this is how an animated movie should be not with farts and well you know. It should be sweet and inoccent like children (you know that's what Michael Jackson said LOL). In all, watch it I highly reccomend it especially on Platinum Edition.

Amazing film made in 1937 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Imagine how this film would change your entire expection towards animations if you were to see it 70 years ago! It's this film that had established the kingdom of Disney and as the very first full-length cartoon ever made, this film has delivered the world Walt Disney's vision about entertainment industry. You certainly shouldn't try to rate this movie as you would for the movies in the modern days, but appreciate it as it has left a very influential mark in the history.

The inspiration--a timeless classic - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Snow White was the movie that inspired all disney movies following it. The animation was innovative and amazingly sophisticated for its time, and for that reason alone it is interesting to watch. The story is good, but the characters are what make the movie what it is for audiences to this day. The villain, the step-mother, is truly what evil is all about. The dwarfs are a story in themselves because of their separate but goofy personalities. Everyone, young and old, can find a character to enjoy while watching this film, a true timeless tale.

Disney arrived with this movie! - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Snow White heralded the dawn of a new era in motion pictures. It was, and still is, the most amazing work of animation ever created SOLELY by man. Walt Disney was said to have been most proud of this film over any others he oversaw. The animation, even after three quarters of a century, is still just amazing.

Best disney movie yet - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

I love Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. It is my very favoritest Disney Movie of all time. I always wished that I could be Snow White and be woken up by my dear Prince when I was a little girl.

Snow white and the seven dwarfs - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

I love Disney movies and this is one of my favorite Disney movies ever. In this movie, Snow White has to work in a castle as a servant. The queen has a magic mirror so the mirror tells her that Snow White is the most beautiful girl in the world. The queen gets jealous so she tells a hunter to kill Snow White and bring back her heart. The hunter tells Snow White to run away and never return. He brings the Queen a deer's heart and she thinks it's Snow White's. Snow White finds a little cottage with seven beds. And it's very dirty so she cleans it up and goes to sleep. When she wakes up she sees seven little men standing over her. If you want to know what happens watch this movie. You won't regret it.

A movie milestone - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Where would the animation world be without the humongous success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? If the movie failed back in 1937, there would be no Disney Company today, no Lion King, and no Disneyland. Disney?s Folly, as critics first called it, would probably have scared any other industry from attempting such an ambitious and innovative project. Pixar may not have ever had the chance to put out their groundbreaking features, and even the Disney- and fairy tale-bashing Shrek may never have been made if Snow White didn?t set the course for the world of the animated feature. There must have been tremendous pressure on everyone involved in the making of Snow White, but they did not disappoint. The end result includes a timeless story, classic songs, and beautiful imagery that will live on for future generations to enjoy. In fact, this was only the second movie that captured my nieces? full attention spans (The Lion King being the first). In my opinion, the story was great but not perfect. It?s not as exciting or filled with as much witty remarks as today?s animated features, but as soon as the dwarfs are introduced, the movie takes on an endearing lighter side. For the record, my favorite dwarf is Doc, because I can relate to him being a strong leader with some very humanistic follies, such as always getting tongue-tied (I do that myself all too often). All the songs stand out in their own way. ?Some Day My Prince Will Come? is a classic, fairy-tale ballad. ?Heigh-Ho,? ?Dig, Dig, Dig,? and ?Whistle While You Work? are great songs to pick up your spirits when you have to go to work, do chores, or do homework. And my favorite, ?The Silly Song,? is just a great, catchy, and funny song. As for the imagery, it?s just breathtaking, especially considering how early it was introduced. The colors are rich and lively, and the multi-plane camera does add some great depth to the movie. As you can tell, for an animation and Disney fan like myself, Snow White is a perfect milestone in the movie world. Even compared to the animation and storytelling styles of today, Snow White still stands the test of time. Kudos to everyone involved in this picture as their work will live on forever.

The best animated film of all time - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Reviews

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was first released in 1937, and it was a huge hit. If it were not, Walt Disney's career would have been totally over and the greatest animation studio, the perfect theme parks, and some of the best films of all time would have never been born. It was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that started all of this and turned Walt Disney into one of the greatest movie legends ever. I'm disgusted though, by some of the reviews for this movie. The people who gave Snow White these grades act like they've never seen it until now(if you think these reviews are bad, check out the horrible reviews for Pinnochio). And if that's what happened, then that's a shame. Everyone on Earth should see Snow White as a child to know how great it is! Once upon a time there lived a princess named Snow White, but she was mistreated by her wicked Queen stepmother because of her beauty. As long as the magic mirror said to the Queen, "You are the fairest one of all", Snow White was safe from danger. But this all changes one day. The Queen orders a huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and kill her. He almost does, but his feelings for Snow White are too strong, and he tells her to run away into the forest and never come back. Snow White is at first terrified by the woods, but then she meets the friendly animals, who lead her to a cottage that is untidy and seems to be owned by seven "children". Snow White and the animals decide to clean up the cottage and then sleep there for the night. But coming back from the mines is Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, and Dopey. They are the Seven Dwarfs, and they are confused by what's hapened to ther cottage. They think that a monster is sleeping upstais, but they find out that it's really Snow White. When she wakes up, she meets them and they meet her. She asks to stay at their cottage for a while to hide from the Queen, and they say yes(all except for Grumpy, who takes time to like her). Meanwhile, the Queen has been told that the heart the huntsman gave her is not Snow White's, but is the heart of a pig. The Queen knows she will have to kill Snow White herself, so she drinks a potion that changes her into an old woman. She has a plan to seduce Snow White and give her a poison apple, which she will say is magic. The apple will only put Snow White to sleep and she will be awoken when the Prince finds her and kisses her. If the dwarfs think she's dead, they'll bury her alive! The memorable animals from this movie include deers, squirrels and chipmunks, bunnies, quails, raccoons, a slow turtle, and some birds that have a baby bird who has a high pitched voice. The most enjoyable one is probably the turtle, because when he thinks he's going the right direction, all of a sudden the animals are coming fast from that way! I wish that Walt Disney were still alive today. He would have been thrilled to see all the new Disney films that exist, such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Pocahantas, and others. He would know that he is the greatest animation filmmaker of all time. But because he was born in 1901 and died in 1966, it would be hard for him to see these movies. I just wish he could have lived longer. Walt Disney's films have inspired me. And to think that all of this started with his best film ever, which is also the best animated film of all time.
